Follow all Coast
Guard and local marine laws. Proper
boating etiquette will be followed at all times.
‘Captains’ will not
operate while under the influence of mind-altering substances.
Drinking lamp will be lit when anchors are dropped and/or mooring
lines secured.
Travel in single
file unless passing while cruising to prevent a double wake for boats
following.
Minimum of 300 feet
spacing between boats while cruising.
Cruise speed to be
established by the cruise director for each cruise.
Cruise director
‘may’ specify two ‘heats’ (fast/slow) on longer cruises.
Boats will pair off
on cruises. (No leaving one boat
behind.)
In the event of a
breakdown, two boats will stay to assist.
(One for towing and one for shadowing.)
Dues are $20.00 per
membership, due January 1, payable by the March meeting.
Dues not paid by the March meeting will be assessed a $20.00 penalty
in addition to normal fee.
New (prospective)
members are invited on a cruise/activity as a guest of a member and voted on
at the next meeting to be accepted or not.
Monitor marine
channel 69 on cruises unless specified prior to cruise.
On issues to be
voted upon, one (1) vote per membership.
i.e. Boat owner, one vote; if boat owner is absent, wife/husband or
significant other may vote, if present.
Failure to follow
above rules is grounds for dismissal from the club by majority vote.
All members are
required to do at least one of four activities:
Have fun.
Be fun.
Bring fun.
Stay home.
